Test the real workflow

Do not evaluate a task manager by creating one sample task. Recreate a real project, invite a teammate, attach a file, search for something and export the data.

Check switching cost

The best app today may not be the best app in three years. Prefer tools that let you export your work in standard formats.

Calculate total cost

Include add-ons, storage, additional users and required integrations. A cheap base plan can become expensive once the workflow grows.
